On 21st of April, company Arum Deč, distributor of Bejo Zaden for Republic of Serbia planned to organize early cabbage field day in Vinarce near Leskovac in south of Serbia. In view of the current corona crisis situation, the hygiene and social distancing measures that go along with it and the uncertainty about future restrictions, Arum Deč in agreement with Bejo Croatia decided to cancel the early cabbage field day. The safety of our people, customers and other relations are our first priority. Nevertheless, Arum Deč led by Dragan Milovanovic, did a great evaluation of the trial and gave us great picture and results that we would like to share with you.

|REMARKS FROM ARUM DEČ:||WE DEFINITELY NEED TO REPLACE KATARINA WITH RANINI. PICTURES FROM THE TRIAL SAYS MORE THAN A 1000 WORDS. RANINI SHOWS GREAT RESULTS!||BEAUTIFUL EARLY CABBAGE. WE THINK WE HAVE GREAT OPPORTUNITY WITH RANINI.||PAREL SHOULD BE REPLACED BECAUSE AS SEEN IN THE PICTURE IT WILL DEFINITELY BOLT IN FEW DAYS||TIARA HAS ITS PLACE IN THE MARKET AND WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE CUSTOMERS SINCE IT IS IN THE MIDDLE BETWEEN RANINI AND THALYS||GOOD CABBAGE, BEAUTIFUL STRUCTURE. FROM THIS TRIAL WE GOT WHAT WE WANTED AND THAT'S THE INTRODUCTION OF RANINI AND THALYS!!!!||I THINK WE SHOULD REPLACE FARAO WITH THALYS, BUT SLOWELY TROUGH TIME, BECAUSE COLOR OF THE LEAF IS NOT THE SAME IN THOSE TWO VARIETIES|
Beautiful early cabbage. We think we have a great opportunity with Ranini F1.
Conclusion: Ranini shows great results and is a beautiful early cabbage. Fresh green colour, nice round shaped head with great size and the earliest one! We expect great future for this cabbage. Thalys has a great internal structure and is a beautiful cabbage with great quality however in this trial still not mature since sowing was done at the same time. Very promising cabbage. It’s a shame we weren’t able to invite growers but we do plan to repeat this trial next year and to show first-hand the prospect of new genetic improvements concerning earliness and the quality of Bejo Zaden early cabbages.
